Version update 2025.4.0: usability improvements

The last version update of the year, 2025.4.0, will bring improvements to Adeona PIM's performance and usability. In 2026, Adeona PIM will receive four more version updates.

Cleaning up product and category change history

The product and category change history cleanup routine is a new functionality that aims to maintain PIM system performance and efficient use of resources, especially as the product data change history grows over time. The functionality is not automatically enabled with a version update, but we recommend its implementation in all Adeona PIM environments.

Using the current user variable in queries

The new functionality allows users to use their own information, such as their email address, in product searches. In Adeona PIM, the currentUser and currentUser.email variables can now be used in text and choice attribute searches when using Advanced search.

Delayed indexing of Adeona PIM configuration changes

With the new version update, a significant improvement has been made to the indexing of PIM system settings changes: in the future, certain changes, such as schema editing or product status name changes, will no longer cause an immediate update of the search index. Instead, the related indexing will be performed automatically the following night. This way, the system can avoid unnecessary and repeated indexing, thereby maintaining better PIM performance.

In addition, numerous smaller improvements and updates

In addition, several smaller improvements have been implemented in the version, such as:

  • When using search and navigating to a product or category, other branches in the hierarchy tree are closed.
  • Upload files as a zip folder: possibility to upload conversion also for files other than image files.
  • Memory and performance optimization, especially when multiple parallel file download calls are made, and the login page layout is clarified.
