Some takeaways from the research
In the study, we found:
✔ Only 15% of the respondents are satisfied or very satisfied with the current state of the company’s product information management.
✔ The challenge of product information management in many companies is to maintain, update, ensure quality and enrich product information.
✔ 93% of respondents consider product information to be a critical success factor for a company. Despite this, almost 45% of companies do not feel that product information management plays a strategic role.
✔ Product information management can be a differentiator and bring competitive advantage and growth.
✔ The importance of sustainability factors has continued to grow, and sustainability requirements are expected to continue to grow significantly.
Companies see the following as important when developing product information management:
✅ Ownership of data
✅ Automation development and system integration
✅ Facilitate product searches and develop and enrich product descriptions
✅ Exploring the possibilities of using AI
✅ Product information management and process development
