Some takeaways from the research
In the study, we found:
Only 15% of the respondents are satisfied or very satisfied with the current state of the company’s product information management.
The challenge of product information management in many companies is to maintain, update, ensure quality and enrich product information.
93% of respondents consider product information to be a critical success factor for a company. Despite this, almost 45% of companies do not feel that product information management plays a strategic role.
Product information management can be a differentiator and bring competitive advantage and growth.
The importance of sustainability factors has continued to grow, and sustainability requirements are expected to continue to grow significantly.
Companies see the following as important when developing product information management:
Ownership of data
Automation development and system integration
Facilitate product searches and develop and enrich product descriptions
Exploring the possibilities of using AI
